Monique and I are amateur runners. We’ve been trying to do these 5K’s lately. She is a much better runner than moi. I used to be a better runner, well, when I was less fat. I started doing alot of 5K runs in 2002 and 2003. Then small child came along and I got super super lazy. Monique said I was the one who got her started doing these runs. Well it’s 2007, and she’s still running.
I guess that motivates me a little. Soo anyway, we got up at the crack of dawn and drove to Solana Beach. Where is Solana Beach? I’ve never been there? It’s at the most northern part of San Diego, south of Encinitas. It’s a quaint little town, and ohh soo pretty.
The race was really organized. We got lots of cool stuff.
It started getting really hot and humid though. I made it through though. I can’t wait to do the next one. We might go to an Iron Girl in Arizona in December. I need to work out my work schedule, etc.
